Malaysia Hodge

My name is Malaysia Hodge, and I am majoring in neuroscience with a minor in artificial intelligence at Agnes Scott College. While attending a liberal arts college, I have learned from multiple perspectives and developed diverse skills that enhance my research. I gravitate toward topics that take an interdisciplinary approach to neuroscience. It is important to me that I can research neuroscience through multiple lenses to help progress our knowledge on a bigger scale. Combining what I’ve learned and will learn, I will connect skills from labs and courses to look at the nervous system from different angles. I want to enhance my training by growing my experience in bioinformatics and biotechnology. Eventually, I will study for my PhD in Computational Neuroscience, where I can begin research using my skills to not only collect data but to analyze the data and create models that can better our understanding of the mechanisms and effects of drugs on the brain
